Juventus loanee Marco Borriello has indicated that he is looking to earn a permanent switch at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old striker joined Juventus from Roma in January on a six-month loan with a view to a permanent deal should he manage to impress.

He has yet to break his duck for the club after 12 matches, but the Italian is seemingly confident that the Serie A leaders will exercise their buying option at the end of the season.

“I do not lose confidence in myself, I am ambitious and I have always shared the same ambitions as Juventus,” he told Juventus Channel.

“First of all, I want to finish this season on a high and there is no problem if I do not score, all that matters is that Juventus win.

“Then I hope to do the pre-season with all the boys next season. And the goals will come.

“I have always scored, and I also will at this club.”

could not be happier with the team’s current run of form which has left them three points ahead of AC Milan with five games remaining in the season.

“We are experiencing a moment of great joy and happiness. As the coach said, we are the masters of our own destiny and it’s all in our hands,” he said.

“The secret to this success? The work that was done last summer by the players and the work they continue to do during each week. It is a very intense style of training that pays off every Sunday.

“We are aware that there are five more difficult games to now play. However, we cannot wait to face them because I think we have just found the maturity to deal with certain styles of play.”

Juventus will meet Cesena on Wednesday in their next Serie A game.

“With Cesena it will be a tough game, because even if they are bottom of the league they have shown that they play in a professional way. It will be an encounter in which we will have to remain extremely careful,” he said.

“But, as I said, I believe Juve have found the right maturity to face these types of games with the required attention.”
