Borussia Dortmund raising cash for assault on Marco Reus

Borussia Dortmund chiefs are already preparing a summer bid for Borussia M’gladbach star Marco Reus, according to Bild.

The Bundesliga champions currently don’t have enough space in their wage budget to accommodate another big signings, but that looks set to change soon.

The BVB chiefs plan to free up around €8 million from the budget, which would allow them to launch an assault on Marco Reus.

Florian Kringe, Mohamed Zidan and Toni Silva are set to leave when their contracts expire at the end of the season, and that would see BVB save around €6 million.

Sebastian Kehl and Patrick Owomoyela are going to be offered new deals, but only with reduced salary, which is expected to raise another €2 million.

Marco Reus has €17.5 million release clause in his contract and is believed to prefer Borussia to Bayern Munich.
