Brentford boss Frank won’t rule out Toney sale

Brentford could part ways with controversial striker Ivan Toney in the near future, according to manager Thomas Frank. But in order for that to happen, there would have to be a suitable offer for his services.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Frank was asked about the difficulties of keeping the best players at a club like Brentford and admitted the Bees were a selling club, adding that all clubs in the world fall into that category, apart from maybe a few.

“Every club in the world is a selling club, except, five, six clubs, Frank said.

“We are a selling club, if the right price is there.”

Asked if that applied to Ivan Toney, he replied, “Yeah, I think so. I understand why there’s a lot of rumours out there about him. I think he’s one of the best strikers; as a No.9, I don’t see many out there who are better.
