Cala happy with Barca interest

Sevilla defender Juan Torres Ruiz admits he is happy with the interest shown in him from Barcelona.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a move to Barcelona as the Spanish champions are looking for back-up for Daniel Alves.

“Well, it’s the best team in the world and I am honoured to read that are interested in me. It’s nice that they’ve seen me play. It is an honour, but now I only think of Sevilla,” he told Sport.

“I have two more seasons and we are in talks. After so many years, I have shown I can do well in the first team and I hope to have better economic and sporting conditions.

“In football anything can happen. I’ve been here half my life and my dream is to win at Sevilla. But if I got a good deal … Although they [Barca] would have to pay €12 million for my clause, because Sevilla would not sell if the clause is not met. Then yes, of course it would be interesting.”
