Mogi Mirim moved into third place in the Campeonato Paulista with a 2-0 home win over Paulista on Saturday.

Henrique opened the scoring for the hosts 14 minutes into the clash, but they had to wait until the 85th minute to double their advantage when Wagner scored.

The result moved Mogi into third place, ahead of Santos on goal difference, and just one point behind Ponte Preta and two adrift of leaders Sao Paulo.

Ponte Preta have a game in hand, however, while the leaders have played two fewer games than Mogi.

In other results, Penapolense enjoyed a 3-0 victory over bottom side Guarani, with a brace from Guaru and an own goal from Wellyson doing the damage on the score board.

And Linense had a Joao Sales hat-trick to thank for their 3-1 home victory over Oeste.

Ligger put the visitors ahead 11 minutes into the match in Sao Paulo, before Sales got his side going.

He scored in the 14th and 16th minutes before completing his hat-trick just after the hour mark.
