Alain Casanova expects his Toulouse players to take the fight to Paris Saint-Germain when their Ligue 1 campaign resumes on Saturday.

Toulouse are seventh on the table and come into the match on the back of a 1-0 defeat to struggling Ajaccio in the Coupe de la Ligue last Sunday.

Their hosts this weekend, league leaders PSG, will be playing just their second game under new head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who replaced the sacked Antoine Kombouare on December 30.

“As a team, they (PSG) will need some time to find the right balance, but I think that they will all be highly motivated and full of determination,” Casanova said.

“We won’t go there to be bullied though, and I can assure you that we’ll do everything that we can do to get a positive result.”

Toulouse have acquitted themselves well so far in 2011/12, with eight wins, seven draws and just four defeats leaving them only four points outside the European qualification places.

“Considering that we are not a big club, our first half of the season has so far given us a lot of confidence,” Casanova said.

“Having said that, after the winter break, we will almost have to start again from scratch.”

“The second half of the season is almost like a new beginning, so, we will see.”

“We will go to Paris without any hang-ups or complexes and we’ll be ready to try and get something from the game.”
