Catania ready to sell Maxi Lopez to Milan

Catania general director Pietro Lo Monaco says that the club will not prevent striker Maxi Lopez from joining Milan.

Milan reportedly want the Argentine to replace Antonio Cassano, who is set to miss next six months of action.

Catania chief Pietro Lo Monaco admits that the club are unlikely to cause Lopez any problems if he wants to join Milan.

“Maxi Lopez to Milan? He can do well anywhere,” Catania chief Pietro Lo Monaco told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“We are happy he is admired by a club of that stature. If the Rossoneri really do want him, then we will not stand in the way of a positive outcome to negotiations.”

Lopez has fallen down the pecking order behind Gonzalo Bergessio at Massimino and he is looking to leave the club in January in search of first team football.
