Colin Kazim-Richards spared Blackburn’s blushed for the second game in a row with a late winner over Hull in the Championship.

The on-loan forward from Galatasaray broke the deadlock in the 77th minute on another tense evening at Ewood Park as fans vented their vitriol from the stands at under-fire manager Steve Kean.

Having guided Rovers out of the Premier League for the first time in the club’s history, Kean has seen his side scrape to an opening draw against Ipswich and win over Hull where chances were few and far between.

The visitors produced the only chance on target in the first half with Nick Proschwitz extending Rovers’ goalkeeper Paul Robinson as chants of ‘Kean out’ rang around the ground.

Hull winger Liam Rosenior dipped a delivery over Robinson early in the second but Joe Dudgeon could only manage to shoot into the side netting.

Rosenoir made another telling contribution midway through the second half when he glanced Bradley Orr’s cross behind with Kazim-Richards poised to poke home the opener.

Substitute striker Nuno Gomes had a hand in the winner with the 36-year-old chesting down Dickson Etuhu’s floated cross in the box before Kazim-Richards rifled home.
