Bristol City won their second successive match beating Millwall 1-0 in the Championship on Tuesday.

Derek McInnes’ side produced an upset 1-0 win at table-toppers Southampton on Saturday and they backed it up with another important three points in front of their home fans at Ashton Gate.

The only goal of the game came in the third minute of stoppage time as striker Nicky Maynard converted Stephen Pearson’s assist.

The goal was the eighth of the season for the highly rated Maynard as Bristol climbed to 19th in the table, three points above the relegation zone.

Millwall’s defeat extended their winless run on the road to five matches as they remain in 21st on the table.
