Chelsea pursue Bennacer signing

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard wants his club to sign AC Milan star Ismael Bennacer – and is willing to use Jorginho as part of a straight swap in order to get the deal done.

At the age of just 22 it’s clear to see that the Algerian international is capable of some big things, and one thing we’ve come to learn from Chelsea in the last few weeks is that they aren’t shy about going out and bringing in a host of top stars.

They’ve already managed to lure Ziyech and Werner to Stamford Bridge, and while bringing in Bennacer clearly isn’t going to be easy, you can tell that they are more than willing to splash the cash in the name of pushing Liverpool and Manchester City all the way in the title race.

Firstly, though, they need to balance out these big names with some defensive reinforcements.
