Cisse to make amends for bans

Djibril Cisse hopes to make up for two suspensions by playing a big part in Queens Park Rangers’ bid for English Premier League survival.

The French striker has struck three times in five matches since joining QPR in January, but was dismissed against both Wolves and Sunderland, resulting in two extended periods on the sidelines.

“I feel bad that I have let people down for being sent off twice,” Cisse told Sky Sports.

“The first time I was angry because I was tackled badly. I have been hurt before in my career through tackles like that.”

The former Liverpool man said fixture list has not been kind to QPR, but believes this could actually help the team.

“We have got a really tough run-in to the end of the season, but I would actually prefer this,” he said.

“There are big, massive games. We want to win so much.

“I will be back for Tottenham and we then go to Manchester City, which will be hard, but you can’t rule us out of winning that one.”

QPR are 16th on the Premier League table, two points clear of the relegation zone.
