Conte seeks away win at Catania

Juventus coach Antonio Conte is hungrily eyeing maximum points from Sunday’s Serie A fixture against Catania.

After starting the 2011-12 campaign with two wins from two, the Turin side were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw by Bologna on Wednesday.

Conte is keen to return to the winners’ list as they travel to the Stadio Angelo Massimino this weekend.

But they will have to do it without Mirko Vucinic, who was red-carded in the Bologna match.

Catania have yet to concede at home in Serie A this season and have a long tradition of making their home ground a difficult place to go.

“My aim is to pick a formation that allows us to produce an excellent performance and possibly achieve a positive result,” Conte said.

“Catania will surely be as committed as us and at the end of the match we’ll see which team has put in the best performance.”

“We know that it isn’t easy to play in Catania, since on that pitch they’ve always managed to play well at home. In any case our attitude and mentality should be the same for both home and away matches.”

“We should always play football and try and play better than the opposing team and try and win. If the opposing team are better than us, we will be the first to congratulate them.”
