Sao Paulo are through to the final of the Copa Sudamericana after a goalless draw in their second leg with Universidad Catolica on Wednesday.

After a 1-1 draw at Universidad’s Estadio San Carlos de Apoquindo, Sao Paulo needed only the scoreless draw to go through on away goals.

In the return leg in front of nearly 60,000 fans at the Morumbi Stadium, Sao Paulo dominated for large periods but were unable to find a goal.

Universidad peppered Sao Paulo’s box with crosses in the closing stages but never really looked like scoring.

Sao Paulo will take on either Millonarios of Colombia or Tigre of Argentina, who play each other in Colombia on Thursday after a 0-0 draw in their first leg.
