Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain both progressed after winning their Coupe de France round-of-64 matches on Sunday.

A hat-trick from Lisandro Lopez guided Ligue 1 giants Lyon to a comfortable 3-1 win against fourth-tier side and neighbours Lyon Duchere.

The star Argentine striker completed a 33-minute treble in the first half and Remi Garde’s side held on for a comfortable win despite Bruno Barreto pulling a goal back for the lower league side.

Elsewhere, Carlo Ancelotti’s PSG scraped through after a tough 2-1 win over fifth-tier outfit Saint-Colomban Locmine.

Diego Lugano’s 93rd-minute header helped the Ligue 1 leaders advance after Javier Pastore and Abou Maiga had earlier exchanged goals.

Montpellier also progressed after midfielder Remy Cabella’s brace guided them to a straightforward 4-0 win against Prix-Les-Mezieres.

Top-flight side Toulouse exited after a shock 1-0 loss to third division outfit Gazelec Ajaccio, who had forward Mickael Colloredo net a 47th-minute winner.

Evian TG avoided a similar fate, edging Ligue 2 side Metz 5-3 on penalties after they had played out a dramatic 2-2 draw in 120 minutes.

Malian midfielder Mahamane Traore scored twice for Metz as they looked headed for an unlikely win, but Cedric Cambon and Yannick Sagbo were on the scoresheet for Evian TG to force the encounter to penalties.

In other matches, Drancy overcame Strasbourg 4-2 on penalties after they drew 3-3, while Nassim Akrour’s hat-trick saw Ligue 2 outfit Istres to a 4-1 win over Thiers.

Veteran midfielder Jean-Michel Lesage starred, hitting a brace in Creteil’s 3-1 victory against Mulhouse.
