Inter Milan have lost midfielder Philippe Coutinho for Saturday’s Serie A clash away to Catania due to injury.
The Brazilian youngster sustained a muscular problem during training and faces a spell on the sidelines.
Coutinho picked up the knock during Thursday’s session and a scan has shown that the 19-year-old has suffered a second degree injury to the biceps femoris of the left leg, Inter revealed on their official website.
It is not yet known how long the Brazil international will be out of action, but it is unlikely that he will feature against Catania on Saturday.
Inter have been struggling to find their best form in the opening weeks of the 2011-12 campaign and currently sit 17th on the Serie A table, with four points from five games.
