Czech Republic 1/1 to beat Bulgaria in Sunday’s EURO 2020 qualifying matchup

Competition: EURO 2020 qualifier

Market: Czech Republic win

Odds: 1/1 @ Bet 365

Securing their spot at EURO 2020 in midweek, Czech Republic will look to keep up the party atmosphere when they travel to Group A strugglers Bulgaria on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, suffering a 1-0 defeat at home against Paraguay on Thursday night to sum up what has been a woeful year for Bulgaria both on and off the pitch, it really has been a qualifying campaign to forget for the Greens. Now losing six of their last seven matches across all formats and yet to record a single Group A victory this year, fans around Sofia will be most concerned by their side’s continued struggles in the final third. Now failing to find the net in each of their last three appearances, Bulgaria also suffered a 2-1 loss when they faced off against the Czechs back in June.

As for the visitors, battling from behind to pick up a 2-1 win over Kosovo in midweek, there is no doubt that the Czech Republic have saved their best Group A performances for the back end of the campaign. Still boosted by their famous victory over England last month, the Czechs have won each of their last three qualifying matches on the spin. Really starting to click in the final third and recording at least a pair of strikes in each of their last four matches across all competitions, there is no doubt that Jaroslav Šilhavý’s men should see Sunday as a golden opportunity to finish their Group A campaign on a high before they head to next year’s European Championships.
