Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has welcomed back Luis Suarez, hailing him as a player who is ‘loved and revered’ by everyone at the club.

The Uruguayan was accused of racially abusing Patrice Evra during the game against Manchester United in October last year, and an inquiry was conducted into the allegations.

The FA suspended the 25-year-old for eight matches – a decision the Reds did not appeal.

“Luis knows he’s in a place where he’s comfortable. He is loved and revered,” Dalglish said, according to The Sunday Mirror.

“The way he torments the opposition makes it understandable why they don’t enjoy seeing him play – but we will.”

Suarez is available for Liverpool’s clash against Tottenham on Monday.
