Napoli signing Omar El Kaddouri has expressed his delight with his move to the Stadio San Paolo, and is eager to prove his worth.
The Belgian-born Moroccan midfielder completed a move just last week from Brescia to the southern outfit and gave special thanks to Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis for making him feel at home.
“The president’s words made me really happy, but now I have to prove myself on the field, and I am only too happy to do so,” he told Sport.it.
The 22-year-old also spoke about his admiration for new team-mate Marek Hamsik, while revealing his childhood hero.
“Achieving what Marek Hamsik has done here would be great. But, Hamsik has scored 60 goals in Serie A. I have much to prove if I am to be compared with him,” he continued.
“As a child I idolised Zinedine Zidane, both as a player and as a person.”
