Valencia coach Unai Emery has told his players not to underestimate Levante the second leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final tie.
Having run out 4-1 winners against their local rivals in the first leg of the tie, at the Mestalla on Thursday, Emery has pleaded caution for the trip to Ciutat de Valencia next Thursday.
Jonas opened the scoring for the winners before Roberto Soldado doubled the home side’s lead. Arouna Kone pulled a goal back for the visitors, but strikes from Pablo Piatti and Tino Costa handed Valencia a comfortable win.
But Emery believes the tie is not over and has urged his team to enter the second leg in a professional manner.
“We’re not going to rest. We will respect them. The aim is not to believe the tie is over and we will try and go out to win there too,” the coach told reporters after the game.
“With the score still at 3-1 we were still looking for a fourth goal and we had more to offer. With a bit more success we could have scored more.”
Valencia return to La Liga action on Sunday in their trip to Osasuna.
