European giants vying for ‘next Neymar’

Spanish daily newspaper Marca claims that a number of top sides are keeping close tabs on Santos wonderkid Rodrygo Silva de Goes.

Despite his fragile age, the 17-year-old has already nailed down a regular starting berth at Santos, and no wonder he is now being compared to PSG superstar Neymar.

The youngster has so far scored 5 goals in 10 top-flight appearances, with quite a few top European clubs hot on his trail.

While Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are also keen, the latest reports suggest that El Clasico rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona are locked in the battle for the talented forward.

Rodrygo, who signed his first professional contact with Santos some six months ago, has a €50 million release clause, and he is not allowed to leave Brazil before he turns 18 in January.
