According to the Telegraph, Everton hope to turn the loan signing of Manchester City winger Jack Grealish into a permanent deal at the end of the season for significantly less than the agreed amount, which stands at £50million. It all depends, of course, on whether the 30-year-old will maintain the form he’s shown on Merseyside so far throughout the season.
Grealish arrived to Everton clearly motivated to prove his critics wrong and earned the Premier League Player of the Month Award with four assists in just two starts under David Moyes. These performances have already made him very popular among the Toffees’ faithful.
As per the report, the figure of £50million is not exactly fixed, more a matter of accounting at a specific moment than a set price. It was a market valuation of Grealish in the summer of 2025, with two years left on his contract with Manchester City. It will inevitably go down by next summer.
