Everton linked to Artur Boruc

Daily Mail suggests that Everton are preparing a swoop for Polish goalkeeper Artur Boruc.

The experienced shot-stopper has been searching for a new club ever since he was released by Fiorentina earlier this summer.

Daily Mail claims Everton boss David Moyes wants to sign the free agent as a back-up for first choice keeper Tim Howard.

The same source has revealed that the 32-year-old has already arrived at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground for a trial.

The Polish international began his career at Legia Warsaw, but it was at Celtic that he made a name for himself, during the five seasons he spent at Parkhead.

Boruc moved to Fiorentina in July 2010 and quickly earned a starting spot at Artemio Franchi, but was not offered a contract extension this summer despite starting 36 Serie A games for Viola last term.
