Manchester United’s Patrice Evra is confident his side will go on to win the Premier League when all of their players return from injury.

Ashley Young, Darren Fletcher, Tom Cleverley, Michael Owen and Nemanja Vidic remain long-term absentees for the club, while Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Anderson missed Saturday’s 3-0 win over Bolton Wanderers with knocks.

The Red Devils are currently level on points with Manchester City at the top of the table having played a game more, but Evra believes they will pip their rivals to the title come the end of the season.

“Everyone’s coming back and in great form,” he told MUTV. “We still have some injuries but I think when everyone is back fit, it will give us the strength to win the title.”

“We have to keep talking about Manchester United. The most important thing was winning today. After that, it doesn’t matter if they (City) win, lose or draw.”

“We just need to have a rest and focus on the next game. I think people talk a lot about City, but we just need to be focused on what we do and how we play, and I think we’re going to win the league.”

“Today was a good afternoon for us. It was an important game, after the (FA Cup) win against City, to show we are really confident and we are back. It was really important to win today.”

Evra hailed the performance of winger Antonio Valencia in the victory over Bolton at Old Trafford.

“I think he ate a motor. He was unbelievable,” he said.

“I don’t know the left-back of Bolton (Sam Ricketts), but I’m sure he had muscle problems after the game. Antonio’s so powerful.”

“It’s just great to see Antonio back (on the wing) and in great form.”
