Fergie keeping tabs on ‘next Rooney’

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is weighing up move for Everton wonderkid Ross Barkley, according to Sunday Express.

Seven years after they signed then 18-year-old Wayne Rooney from Everton, Manchester United are looking to bring the Toffees’ latest hotshot Ross Barkley to Old Trafford.

Despite not yet considered a first team regular at Goodison Park, the 17-year-old midfielder has already attracted a lot of interest from big European clubs.

Manchester United officials held initial talks with Everton this summer and they have been encouraged to make an offer in the region of £15 million for the talented midfielder.

Sir Alex Ferguson is determined not to miss out on one of the hottest Premiership talents and recent reports suggest that he will return with a bumper offer in January.

He would be a great back up for Cleverly, Anderson and Fletcher. Goodbye Carrick welcome Barkley!

    P.S. We dont need Sneijder
