Fulham make second bid for West Ham’s Issa Diop

Fulham are interested in signing Issa Diop from West Ham United in the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic. The report has claimed that Fulham, who all play in the Premier League next season after winning promotion from the Championship, had an opening bid of £10 million plus add-ons rejected for the defender and have made a new offer of £12 million plus add-ons for the 25-year-old.

The Athletic have reported that Fulham hope to sign Diop from London rivals West Ham on a five-year contract. French giants Lyon are keen on the defender as well, and Diop is now considering his options.

Diop made 10 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for West Ham last season, providing one assist in the process. The Frenchman also made six starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for the Hammers, scoring one goal in the process. The defender played three in the Carabao Cup and thrice in the FA Cup last season as well for David Moyes’s team.
