Genoa to offer Borriello escape route from Roma

Marco Borriello could make a switch to Genoa in January, according to La Repubblica.

The 29-year-old has struggled to get some playing time at Olimpico this season and he is reportedly ready to move on.

As La Rebubblica reports, Genoa are keen on bringing the experienced forward back to Marassi.

Grifoni are looking for a new striker to partner Rodrigo Palacio and they believe Marco Borriello would be a great addition to the squad.

However, the player’s €5.4 million yearly wage could prove to be a stumbling block as Borriello is not prepared to take a pay cut in order to leave Roma.
