German keeper linked with Anfield switch

German newspaper Bild understands that Liverpool are weighing up a January bid for Hannover goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler.

With Pepe Reina likely to leave the Reds on permanent basis at the end of the current season, the Anfield outfit are on the lookout for a new shot-stopper.

Bild has suggested that Liverpool have made Hannover’s Ron-Robert Zieler their primary target in the winter transfer window.

Schalke and Borussia M’gladbach are also showing interest, but it is believed the Reds lead the chase at the moment.

The player reportedly has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for £7 million before 1st May 2014, which should see Liverpool step up their interest in the January transfer window.

After quite a while, the Reds have enjoyed a bright start to the Premier League campaign, seeing as how they currently sit just two points behind leaders Arsenal, and they are 8/1 to lift the league title.
