Gokhan Tore makes Rubin Kazan switch

Rubin Kazan have announced on their official website that they have signed midfielder Gokhan Tore from Hamburger SV.

The 20-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Russian Premier League club and was assigned number 55.

The young midfielder joined Hamburger in a €1.3 million deal from Chelsea last summer, but he had a pretty disappointing start to his career in Bundesliga.

The player was deemed surplus to requirements this summer and Rubin Kazan took advantage of the situation to secure the Turkish footballer on a long-term deal.

Gokhan Tore failed to score a single goal in 22 Bundesliga games for HSV, but he, nonetheless, made six substitute appearances for Turkey during the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.

The Turkish international was regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in Europe just few years back and he has now been given a new opportunity to kick-start his career.
