Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik admits he is tempted by the reported interest from AC Milan.
Speaking to Slovakian magazine Sme, the Napoli star hinted that a move to Milan was a realistic possibility.
“It’s wonderful that Milan are interested in me, of course, but I am accustomed to the newspapers writing things that don’t come true,” Hamsik was quoted as saying.
“If an offer arrived then I’d have to talk to Napoli first. I would like to try playing for a club that regularly challenges for the Scudetto and Champions League.”
“At the start of the season nobody expected us to qualify for the Champions League. This is an incredible result for the club and I can’t wait to hear the competition theme tune.
“Only then will I realise what we’ve managed to do, so I’m impatient for the next campaign to start.
“We were in the top Serie A positions for practically the whole season. There was consistency in our performances, so we deserved our place.”
