PortsmouthÂ’s manager Harry Redknapp has said that the club will be unable to make any more signings, that is for the time being, at least.
The purchase of Peter Crouch from Liverpool for ₤11 million has set the club back.
Redknapp added that for any further signings to be made then he would have to sell certain players in order to acquire the
necessary funds.
Redknapp has set his sights on Shaun Wright-Phillips of Chelsea but before he can make a bid for him certain fringe players may have to be sold. These include the likes of Sean Davis and Djimi Traore.
Besides Crouch, Ben Sahar has arrived at the club on a six month loan while Glen Little was signed on a free transfer.
The boss concluded by saying that he needed to act fast before the transfer window closes.
