Hertha Berlin are not in an ideal position this season. The Bundesliga outfit is currently sitting in 14th place, with just two points more than Werder, who are currently occupying the play-off spot for staying in the league. That is simply not good enough for the side from the capital and they have also changed managers, appointing Jurgen Klinsmann until the end of the season.
Now it seems like they will be getting a big acquisition this January, but for the next season.. According to L’Equipe, Hertha and Lyon have reached an agreement that will see Lucas Tousart join the Bundesliga side. They are also reporting that Hertha will have to cough up 25 million euros to land the midfielder.
Tousart is 22 years old and will sign a contract with Hertha until June 2025, before returning to Lyon on loan for the rest of the season. He scored two goals and made two assists in Ligue 1 this season.
