About a month ago, reports appeared of Huddersfield Town being interested in signing Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke, but since then Crystal Palace have also apparently registered an interest in the striker. Neither of the two clubs are prepared to give up, and it seems a battle for his services is afoot.
That is according to Sky Sports, who also hint that Palace have considered going for Luka Jović. The Serbian is currently at Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Benfica. However, Jović has scored 20 goals in 37 games for the Bundeliga side, and Palace fear that the price of a potential transfer would be huge. The Eagles considered Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi too, currently on loan at Valencia, but they’ve decided against his arrival to Selhurst Park.
Huddersfield are struggling for goals at the moment, and given the excellent relationship their manager David Wagner has with Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, it is believed the Terriers have the edge over the Eagles regarding Solanke, but Palace are set to try everything in their power to get the 20-year-old for themselves.
