Hulk open to overseas move

Porto star Hulk says he is happy to stay in Portugal but admits he would consider a move away in January should the right offer materialise.

The Brazilian’s goalscoring exploits in Oporto have attracted the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

A reunion with former boss Andre Villas-Boas at Chelsea has been reported, and the striker’s agent has conceded the 25-year-old would consider a switch to Stamford Bridge.

Hulk has refused to confirm or deny whether he would be leaving in the next month, only saying that nothing was for certain.

“We never know what is going to happen tomorrow,” Hulk told Record.

“I have four-and-a-half years left on my Porto contract but, as I have always said, if some day something good for me and for the club appears, I think there will not be any problem and a deal will be reached.”

“As long as it is amicable and good for everyone, I believe it will be concluded without any problem. If I do not leave, then that is fine.”

Hulk also addressed rumours that Paris Saint-Germain, now coached by former Chelsea and AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti, were interested in taking him to France.

“With all due respect, it is clear that it is different to play at PSG or Real Madrid. It is clear that the way those two clubs are looked at is different but what I like is to play football and the only thing I want is to be good enough to do it,” he said.

“If the day comes, I will go to where I think I will be happiest.”

But the former Vitoria player categorically stated that he was happy to keep living in Portugal, where he felt at home and comfortable.
