Hulk to decide on future after Confederations Cup

Chelsea target Hulk has insisted that he will not make any decision on his future until after the Confederations Cup.

The Zenit St Petersburg forward, who has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent months, was named as part of Brazil’s 23-man squad for the tournament on Friday.

And the 26-year-old claims he is solely focused on helping Luiz Felipe Scolari’s team – who won the last Confederations Cup in 2009 – defend their title on home soil, rather than any potential switch to England.

“If I said there wasn’t anything in it, I would be lying, but that is not for now,” he said.

“At the moment, I am 100 percent focused on the Selecao (Brazil team) and I hope to be a Confederations Cup winner with my country.

“It is a matter of great pride for me to be playing in the yellow jersey, so near to my family. Other matters will have to wait until afterwards.”

Hulk joined Zenit from Portuguese outfit Porto in September 2012, and has scored seven goals in 17 starts in his debut season in Russia.

Despite that fine return, the forward has reportedly grown disillusioned with life at Zenit, and is keen on a move to the Premier League.

The Confederations Cup kicks off on June 15 when hosts Brazil meet Japan in Brasilia.
