Inter Miami in Rodrigo De Paul talks

According to Fabrizio Romano, Inter Miami and Atletico Madrid have opened talks over Rodrigo De Paul potentially joining the MLS side. The Argentina international is said to be open to the idea, with Miami keen to maintain high ambitions after exiting the FIFA Club World Cup.

De Paul has been at Atletico for four years now, as a key player under Diego Simeone. In all competitions, he has made a total of 187 appearances for the club, scoring 14 goals and contributing 26 assists from his position in the middle of the park. He was also an important player for Argentina during their run to World Cup glory in 2022. His contract at the Wanda Metropolitano expires next year, and it seems the 31-year-old’s time in the Spanish capital is coming to an end.

Inter Miami are also keen to continue their cooperation with Lionel Messi beyond the expiration of the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner’s current contract at the end of the calendar year.
