Filippo Inzaghi remains coy regarding his future, but stated that he is open to the idea of prolonging his stay at AC Milan.

The striker has been restricted to just three appearances in the league so far this season, and speculation is rife that he might be tempted to leave for pastures new in the January transfer window.

“January is close, but I will not rush my decision,” Inzaghi said. “I will not dismiss any possibilities, even that of staying at AC Milan.”

Inzaghi admitted that he remained as motivated as ever, citing his desire to reclaim the title of all-time leading goalscorer in UEFA competitions from Schalke’s Raul.

“The record obviously interests me,” he said. “Playing so little does not make me happy, however.”

“But, for now, the love of my fans is enough for me, and I feel lucky for the career that I’ve had.”

Inzaghi arrived at Milan from Juventus in 2001, and has established himself as a legendary figure at the San Siro, helping the club to two Serie A titles, two Champions Leagues and a World Club Cup.
