January 21st: Saturday’s Premier League Accumulator – 6/1

With the Premier League once again taking center stage this weekend, we have a stacked schedule on our hands. So, for those of you looking to place a Saturday acca, we have found a few helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Saturday January 21st

BST 12:30 Liverpool vs Chelsea

Managing to claim a much-needed FA Cup boost earlier in the week, Liverpool will be desperate to keep up that momentum here. Eventually edging past Wolves thanks to a 1-0 victory on the road, Jurgen Klopp’s side are now screaming out for some Premier League stability. However, despite showing a string of issues since returning from the World Cup break, Saturday’s hosts should be glad to make a return to Anfield this weekend. While Liverpool might be facing an uphill struggle in 2023, the Reds have continued to shine on home soil. In fact, Klopp’s side have lost just a single top-flight showdown on Merseyside since March 2021. Losing just one of their last seven meetings against Saturday’s guests, the former Borussia Dortmund boss will be calling on his side to lay down a marker. While Chelsea might have found their own crucial boost thanks to a 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace last weekend, Graham Potter’s side have had little to cheer about this season. Struggling to find their feet under the ex-Brighton boss, Chelsea are also without a single domestic victory away from Stamford Bridge since way back on October 19th. Facing what could be another stern test outside of west London, we’re backing a home win here.

Tip: Liverpool win @ 19/20

15:00 Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest

While Nottingham Forest might have opened their Premier League return in the midst of a rather public struggle, Steve Cooper’s side have come roaring back in some style. Last seen putting in another eye-catching display as they claimed a 2-0 victory at home against local rivals Leicester, Saturday’s hosts have lost just a pair of their last 10 domestic matchups on either side of the World Cup break. Likewise, booking their EFL Cup semi-final ticket on January 11th as they edged their way past Premier League rivals Wolves, Forest will be smelling the chance to lay down another marker here. Claiming back-to-back top-flight victories and with the mood in Cooper’s camp at a red-hot high, they have also skyrocketed themselves away from a relegation scrap. On the flip side, while Bournemouth might have appointed Gary O’Neil on a permanent basis back in November, the Cherries are enduring a nightmare spell. Last seen getting hit with a deserved 2-0 loss away at Brentford, Saturday’s guests have now lost each of their last six domestic matchups on the spin. Crashing out of the FA Cup on January 7th following a woeful 4-2 drumming against Championship outfit Burnley, an away draw no bet can be found at appealing odds.

Tip: Nottingham Forest draw no bet @ 19/20

15:00 Leicester vs Brighton

Laying down what was a stunning marker last weekend as they breezed their way to a 3-0 romp against Liverpool, Brighton are in the midst of another stellar purple patch. Continuing to gain a string of plaudits since appointing new boss Roberto De Zerbi, Saturday’s guests now have their sights set on mounting a famous European charge. Opening 2023 with another remarkable flurry as they picked up a 4-1 victory away at Everton, the Seagulls have gained a fearsome reputation for their free-scoring displays. Along with extending on their FA Cup adventure earlier in the month thanks to a 5-1 win away at Championship outfit Middlesbrough, Brighton have won four of their last five domestic matchups across all formats. Likewise, winning five of their previous seven Premier League battles, De Zerbi’s side should be excited by a trip to the King Power this weekend. With Leicester slumping to a 2-0 loss against local rivals Nottingham Forest last time out, Brendan Rodgers’ side have come crashing back down to earth since returning from the World Cup break. Losing each of their last five straight Premier League appearances, it should also be noted that the Foxes have bagged just a single strike on that woeful spell.

Tip: Brighton win @ 11/10
