Sky Sports have reported that Napoli’s Jorginho has arrived to London ahead of his move to Chelsea.
The report claims Manchester City, who have been linked with Jorginho for a while, remain interested in signing the defensive midfielder, but Napoli and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer. The fee is set at £50million plus a potential £7million in add-ons.
After months of speculation, Chelsea have today finally confirmed the sacking of manager Antonio Conte and Sky Sports say they understand that former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri could be officially appointed as his successor in the next few days.
Manchester City are still looking to add quality to their ageing midfield as both Fernandinho and David Silva are over the 30-mark, but it seems Chelsea’s move for Sarri has convinced Jorginho to change his plans and choose Stamford Bridge as his net destination in order to work with his ex coach again.
