July 8th: Saturday’s Brazil Double – 3/1 Special, Tips & Predictions

With Europe’s elite all starting to get their pre-season preparations underway, it will be the South American stars who steal most of the attention this weekend.

Ahead of a stacked schedule from across Brazil throughout Saturday, we have found a pair of Serie B showdowns that can offer a great return for your weekend flutter.

15:30 Guarani vs Londrina

Watching their recent flurry come to an abrupt end away at Botafogo last weekend, Guarani will be desperate to prove that their sluggish 1-0 defeat was nothing more than a minor blip. Nevertheless, despite suffering their first Serie B loss since returning from June’s international break, Saturday’s hosts should be smelling the chance to claim an immediate response here.

While Bruno Pivetti’s side might need a minor miracle in their bid to claim a stunning top-four finish, the Bugre will be excited by the prospect of making a return to the Brinco de Ouro da Princesa this weekend.

Last seen in front of their own supporters picking up a lively 2-1 victory against Mirassol on June 28th, Guarani have lost just one of their previous nine domestic appearances in Sao Paulo – a run that extends all the way back to February 15th.

With that hometown purple patch underlined by a stellar 2-0 victory against promotion hopefuls Vitoria, Saturday’s hosts will be confident of cashing in on a Londrina squad who are in the midst of a Serie B nightmare.

Suffering a downbeat 2-1 defeat away at CRB last weekend, the Sharks find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap and already battling it out in the drop zone.

In fact, on what has quickly become an infamous extended struggle, Alexandre Gallo’s squad have picked up just a single point from any of their last eight straight Serie B appearances – a run that stems all the way back to May 19th.

Hit with a 1-0 loss when they travelled to the Brinco de Ouro da Princesa nine months ago, we are expecting a similar outcome here.

Betting Tip: Guarani win & Under 3.5 goals @ 1/1 with Pribet

19:30 ABC vs Criciuma

Only continuing to shine on either side of June’s international break, Criciuma certainly have a Serie B return at the top of their agenda in 2023. Putting in another eye-catching display last weekend as they claimed a routine 2-0 victory away at Sampaio Correa, Saturday’s guests have skyrocketed their way into the promotion places.

With the mood in Claudio Tencati’s camp at a real high, the Tigers have collected 10 points from just their last four Serie B appearances over the past month.

Heading into the fortnight interval with a gritty 1-0 victory against fellow promotion hopefuls Vitoria, the former Londrina boss will be calling on his high-flying squad to make another second-tier statement here.

Likewise, continuing to gain a reputation for their success on the road, the Santa Catarina-based outfit have suffered just a single defeat from any of their last eight showdowns at the Heriberto Hulse – a run that stems back to March 29th.

On the flip side, while ABC might have claimed a crucial boost away at fellow strugglers Avai last weekend, Saturday’s hosts still sit rock-bottom of the Serie B table and one of the standout contenders to be hit with an immediate third-tier return.

Recording just a single win from any of their last eight Serie B appearances, Fernando Marchiori’s side have also continued on a dreadful run in front of their own supporters.

It is worth highlighting, the former Cuiaba boss has seen his side muster just one of their last nine straight showdowns in Natal.

Two sides battling it out at opposite ends of the table, an away draw no bet can be found at appealing odds.
