June 3rd: Saturday’s Football Accumulator – 7/1

With the likes of Ligue 1 drawing to a close this weekend, we have another action-packed schedule from across Europe. So, for those of you looking to place a Saturday acca, we have found a trio of helpful tips that can offer a great return for your flutter.

Saturday June 3rd

BST 17:30 Torino vs Inter Milan

Punching their Champions League final ticket on May 16th as they secured that famous 3-0 romp against bitter local rivals AC Milan, Inter are in the midst of what has been a history-making flurry in 2023. Last seen putting in another action-packed display as they secured a 3-2 victory at home against Atlanta, the Nerazzuri are riding a remarkable wave of momentum. Cruising their way to another top-four finish, Simone Inzaghi’s side have won 10 of their previous 11 appearances across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to a 3-3 draw against Benfica on April 19th. Likewise, lifting this year’s Coppa Italia thanks to a 2-1 victory against Fiorentina last week, Saturday’s hosts will be desperate to keep up their momentum here. However, despite enjoying a remarkable free-scoring run in the final third, it should be highlighted that the Nerazzuri have recorded just a single clean sheet from their previous five meetings against Serie A opposition. Despite hoping to sign off their domestic adventure with another statement here, Inter will meet a Torino side that are in the midst of their own rampant run of form. Putting in a thumping performance last weekend as they stormed to a 4-0 romp away at Spezia, the Bulls have breezed their way to a top-half finish this season. Suffering just one defeat from any of their previous seven domestic showdowns, Saturday’s hosts could be smelling the chance to spring a heavyweight upset here. With four of the last six meetings between Torino and Inter Milan finishing with both teams finding the net, we are expecting a similar outcome here.

Tip: Both teams to score @ 3/4

20:00 Auxerre vs Lens

While Lens might have been left heartbroken to have not claimed a maiden Ligue 1 crown this month, Saturday’s guests have only continued on a history-making romp in 2023. Breezing their way to a silver medal finish and booking a famous Champions League ticket, Franck Haise’s men have only continued to gain a string of plaudits from across Europe on either side of the World Cup’s winter break. Riding what has been a remarkable wave of momentum, there is no doubt that Le Racing will be looking to sign off their Ligue 1 adventure with another statement on the road. Last seen putting in a stellar display as they secured a routine 3-0 victory at home against AC Ajaccio, Haise’s record-breakers have now won each of their last six straight domestic outings. With that run stemming all the way back to a 3-1 loss against PSG on April 15th, Lens have also gained a real reputation for their free-scoring displays in the final third. With their recent purple patch underlined by a 3-0 romp against Monaco last month, Saturday’s guests should be relishing a trip to Auxerre this weekend. While the Burgundy-based outfit might open Saturday’s showdown holding a two-point buffer over the drop zone, they remain a real fight to maintain their Ligue 1 status. Knowing that they could need to secure maximum points here and avoid being leapfrogged by Nantes, Christophe Pelissier’s men face a huge challenge here. Despite being last seen snatching a 1-1 draw away at Toulouse, the one-time Lorient boss finds his squad in the midst of a six-match winless run.

Tip: Lens draw no bet @ 17/20

20:00 Troyes vs Lille

At the heart of a heavyweight three-horse race in their bid to claim a top-four finish, Lille know that nothing short of maximum points will be enough to officially punch a Europe League group stage ticket this weekend. Opening Sunday’s Ligue 1 finale holding just a one-point buffer over both Rennes and Monaco, Paulo Fonseca’s side will have plenty of pressure on their shoulders here. However, sat in pole position and last seen putting in another eye-catching display as they secured a lively 2-1 win at home against Nantes, the one-time Roma boss has seen his squad lose just one of their last eight domestic appearances – a run that stems back to Aril 8th. With attacking talisman Jonathan David only continuing to shine this season, Les Dogues should be confident of finishing off their top-four charge this weekend. With their recent flurry highlighted by another 2-1 victory at home against Marseille on May 20th, Lille are rightfully tipped as a standout pick here. Long since accepting that they will make a second-tier return this season, it is fair to say that Troyes are certainly limping their way over the finish line. Putting in another downbeat performance as they suffered a 2-1 defeat against Angers last weekend, the Blues are enduring a record-breaking rut. Remarkably failing to collect a single win from any of their previous 21 straight appearances across all competitions, Saturday’s hosts have also shown some glaring defensive issues. With Lille storming to a 5-1 romp when the two sides last met on January 15th, we are backing a similar outcome.
