June 7th: Wednesday’s Daily Football Double – 5/1 Special, Tips & Predictions

Although the Europa Conference League final between Fiorentina and West Ham might steal most of the midweek headlines, neutrals still have plenty of other eye-catching fixtures on the schedule.

With a string of intriguing affairs from both Europe and South America, we have taken a look at a couple of intriguing affairs that can offer great value for your Wednesday flutter.

Ahead of what could be a thrilling night of action from across the footballing globe, we have created your ultimate Wednesday double.

20:00 Levante vs Albacete

While Levante might have lost their La Liga status last season, the Frogs have their sights firmly set on clinching an immediate top-flight return this month. Making a major statement last weekend as they eventually cruised their way to a first-leg 3-1 romp away at Albacete, Javier Calleja’s squad will simply be looking to finish off the job when they return to the Ciutat de Valencia in midweek.

Signing off their Segunda campaign with another eye-catching performance as they secured a 2-1 win at home against Real Oviedo, Wednesday’s hosts have won each of their last three straight meetings against second-tier opposition.

With that run highlighted by an action-packed 3-2 victory against Villarreal B on May 20th, Levante have certainly found a real clinical edge in the final third.

Rightfully tipped as a standout pick when they return to home soil in midweek, the Frogs have also lost just a single Segunda showdown in front of their own supporters since the start of October.

Putting in a nightmare display on home soil last weekend as they suffered that first-leg 3-1 defeat, Albacete will know that they’re seeking a minor miracle when they travel to the Ciutat de Valencia on Wednesday night.

Now recording just a single win from any of their previous four meetings against Segunda opposition, Ruben Albes’ side have also recorded just a pair of away victories since way back on January 23rd.

23:00 Novorizontino vs Guarani

Although Novorizontino might have only just about clung to their Serie B status last season, Wednesday’s hosts have certainly made a string of improvements since opening the 2023 campaign. Last seen putting in another rugged display as they claimed a 1-0 victory away at ABC, Eduardo Baptista’s men are riding what has been a real wave of momentum.

Currently battling it out in the top-four chase and knowing that another win in midweek could skyrocket them to the top of Brazil’s second-tier, Tigre do Vale have now won each of their last four Serie B appearances on the bounce.

With their extended purple patch highlighted by a 3-0 romp away at Ceara on May 28th, Novorizontino have continued to impress with their defensive resolve.

In fact, along with winning each of their last four second-tier showdowns by an aggregate score of 8-0, it should also be noted that Baptista’s men have not conceded a single strike in almost 400 minutes of action.

On the flip side, while Novorizontino might be battling it out at the top of the Serie B standings, Guarani are in the midst of what has been a worrying blip over the past six weeks.

Last seen getting hit with a shock 1-0 loss at home against CRB, Wednesday’s guests have now secured just a single victory from any of their previous seven appearances – a run that stems all the way back to April 28th.
