Werder Bremen are set to complete a deal to bring promising Austria Wien playmaker Zlatko Junuzovic to the Weserstadion.

The two clubs have agreed a fee for the 24-year-old, believed to be in the region of 750,000 euros, and the player looks set to sign a contract through to June 2015.

“We’d reached an agreement with the player over a move this summer. After talks with FK Austria Wien, we had an opportunity to bring the transfer forward, under fair conditions,” Werder Bremen sporting director Klaus Allofs said.

Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf said Junuzovic will add another dimension to his midfield.

“Zlatko Junuzovic is a player with great technique, the ability to lay on goals and a good finisher himself. His game will enrich our midfield and increase our options there,” Schaaf said.

Junuzovic is expected in Bremen on Sunday to undergo a medical before officially unveiled on Monday.
