Juventus eyeing Atletico Madrid duo

Italian champions Juventus are showing interest in Atletico Madrid defenders Jose Maria Gimenez and Diego Godin, according to Tuttosport.

With both Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini clearly past their prime, the Bianconeri are almost certain to recruit another central defender in the summer.

Atletico Madrid starlet Jose Maria Gimenez has been on their radar for quite a while and Juventus could soon make their move.

At the same time, the Bianconeri are looking at his teammate Diego Godin, who has been one of La Liga’s leading centre-backs for almost a decade.

Juventus officials do not seem concerned by the player’s advanced age (32) and they clearly believe the Uruguayan can still perform at the highest level.
