Juventus register interest in Pau Torres

Juventus are interested in signing Pau Torres from Villarreal in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that the former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners have registered interest in the Spain international central defender. 

Italian giants Juventus look set to lose Matthijs de Ligt to German powerhouse Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, and they have identified Villarreal defender Torres as a possible replacement.

Torres has been on the books of Villarreal since 2002 and has come through the club’s youth academy to establish himself in the first team. The 25-year-old is one of the better central defenders in Spain and has played 19 times already for the first team.

Juventus will play in the UEFA Champions League next season after finishing in the top four of Serie A in 2021-22. Villarreal ended up seventh in the La Liga standings with 59 points from 38 matches.
