Klose ´furious´ at fascist poster

Lazio striker Miroslav Klose has distanced himself from a controversial poster unveiled by fans during his side’s 2-1 Serie A win over Roma.

The sign, which was shown by a section of his side’s fans throughout the Roman derby last weekend, read ‘Klose Mit Uns’, which translates to ‘Klose is with us’.

However, the ‘s’ letters in the wording resembled the SS abbreviation of the Nazi army, in a show of support for fascism.

As a result, the 33-year-old has expressed his distaste for the fan-made poster, while also affirming that politics must always remain outside of football.

“I’m furious,” Klose told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Politics should stay out of the stadium.”

The Italian Football Federation has since announced that they will open an investigation into the incident, which occurred in last Sunday’s fixture at Stadio Olimpico.
