Paris Saint-Germain coach Antoine Kombouare has urged his squad to maintain their work rate after their 1-0 win at Sochaux on Saturday.
The Parc des Princes outfit have been struggling to find their best form in recent weeks, but Kombouare is pleased they have returned to winning ways.
“I really liked the way we played, especially defensively. It’s been a while since we kept a clean sheet,” Kombouare said.
“It’s the best way to prepare for our game against Lille on Sunday.”
The 48-year-old believes his team could benefit from enduring a slump at this stage of the season rather than towards the end of the campaign.
“It’s better that we have a dip in form now rather than in the finishing straight. We have to keep this attitude up to the winter break,” he said.
“Victories give you confidence and help you recover. We know that the road is long and full of obstacles.”
PSG are level with Ligue 1 leaders Montpellier on 36 points, second only on goal difference.
