Krkic unsure of Roma future

Roma striker Bojan Krkic has conceded that his short-term plans are still totally uncertain after a mediocre first season in Serie A.

The 21-year-old was initially said to be on his way back to Barcelona before an apparent turnaround had him staying put for another season at Roma.

“I have heard for several weeks many rumours regarding my future,” the striker told Sport on Tuesday.

“But I still know nothing about what I will do next year. I’d like to finish the season in the best way I can, so that I can enjoy the holidays afterwards.”

Bojan initially enjoyed a prolonged spell in Luis Enrique’s starting 11 before sliding to the bench, from where he collected 20 of his 32 appearances this season.

He has scored six goals, most notably against both AC Milan and Inter, yet his failure to make a notable impression has left him increasingly alienated.

“Any decision on my stay at Roma should not depend on anyone but myself, I don’t care who the coach will be next season,” he said.

“Barcelona can redeem me, but first we should talk about some things.”
