LA Galaxy to make move for Champions League winner?

Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy are to make a move for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard according to reports in the Daily Mail.

Galaxy have made their interest in Lampard clear before and now it seems they are preparing another move for the England midfielder.

Fresh from winning the Champions League with Chelsea, Lampard has a year to run on his deal at Stamford Bridge and the MLS club may well test his loyalty.

Should an offer from LA Galaxy – where David Beckham plays his football – be put on the table, it will be interesting to see how Chelsea and Lampard respond.

After over ten years at the club, Lampard has become a legend amongst the Chelsea faithful and for the club to sell him could cause some unrest.

However, he hasn’t played quite as much in the last couple of years and selling him this summer would mean the 34-year-old wouldn’t walk away for free in a years time.

As for where Lampard stands on this situation, he clearly has a love for Chelsea and it would be a massive step for him to move to America.

This is certainly a story in its early stages, but it won’t be the last we have heard of Lampard to LA Galaxy this summer.
