Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup is hopeful of signing another forward before the end of the transfer window.
The Dane is looking to bolster the numbers in his forward department after telling fringe players Luke Moore and Leroy Lita they can leave the Liberty Stadium.
Ivory Coast international forward Wilfried Bony signed for a club-record fee of £12million on Thursday, and made his debut in the club’s 1-0 pre-season victory over ADO Den Haag on Saturday.
But Laudrup believes the club are still light up front, with Bony and Spaniard Michu the most likely options to occupy the striker role.
“We only need one other player – a striker,” Laudrup said.
“We want a different type of forward, but we are in no rush. It could take three or four weeks.”
Udinese forward Matej Vydra, who starred on loan for Championship side Watford last season, is a reported target for the club.
