Jaguares withstood a Guadalajara fightback to emerge 3-2 winners in the Liga MX at the Estadio Zoque on Friday.

Colombian striker Luis Rey opened the scoring for Jaguares in the ninth minute before the advantage was doubled through Luis Lorona 30 minutes later.

But Guadalajara fought back, scoring a crucial goal in first-half stoppage time through Rafael Marquez Lugo.

The game heated up in the 65th minute as Marquez Lugo completed his brace and tied the scores at 2-2, with Guadalajara having all the momentum.

But Jaguares substitute Franco Arizala put his side back ahead after 81 minutes and they held on to claim all three points.

The victory moves Jaguares provisionally out of the bottom three in the Liga MX while Guadalajara remain in 11th position.
